Marilla Civil War days brought to you by the Marilla Historical Society, 94th NY Co H, and the Eastern Reenactors Society had their best event yet.  This year we had a record turnout for Sutlers, reenactors and spectators.  The event was filled with many activities to keep everyone entertained.  Friday nights highlight was the huge bon fire which burned most of the night.  On Saturday our sanitary fair and guest speakers with Hutchinson's Family Revival were enjoyed by everyone.  At 2:00pm in sunny 90 degree weather, a short battle demonstration ended with a union surrender.   Our catered dinner provided by the Marilla Historical Society was excellent.  We had roast beef sandwiches, green leaf salad, potato salad and apple cobbler for desert.  City Fiddle finished our evening with a dance featuring period style music. The grand finale featured Levi Battery with an awesome cannon night fire demonstration which set off a couple car alarm.

Here are some quotes from reenactors in attendance:

"Thanks Frank!  I had such a good time on Saturday, with dinner and the dance!  Being under the big tent for the Sanitary Fair was great!!!"

 Nicolle Beyer,  NY DUVCW

"Thanks for a lovely little event. Everyone was very friendly and helpful toward our boys from Erie. Thank you very much for feeding us Saturday night - I haven't had a feed like that at an event in years. We would definitely come up again." -Rob Weaver, 7th Wisconsin

Mike, Frank:
"Thank you for including us this weekend. Despite the weather early on
Sunday we had a great time. Wonderful audiences. We felt right at home.
Thanks so much."
